The Hindu Kush Mountains

The mountain range is home to the world's largest Pashtun community.

The highest peak in the Hindu Kush is Noshaq at 7,492m.

Vast areas of the range are governed by Pashtun law.

The Hindu Kush range is 1,200 km wide.

Only way to cross the range is through vital high mountain passes.

Historically, the mountain range has been home to fierce conflicts.
